Welcome to the Joy of Ayurveda!
The Joy of Ayurveda aspires to teach individuals how to live a healthier and more joyful life according to one of the oldest medical practices in the world, Ayurveda. Ayurveda uses a holistic view on wellbeing by balancing nutrition and diet with one’s individual constitution. Historically, Ayurveda is a lifestyle practice. Thus, the Joy of Ayurveda is designed to open you to a new vision of cooking, eating and taking care of yourself by seeing the role of food in our diet, as medicine. Therefore, the Joy of Ayurveda provides you an experience that encompasses food, massage, and yoga for a more peaceful mind and a stronger understanding of yourself and your body.
A bit about me…
Hi, I’m Bruno and welcome to the Joy of Ayurveda. Over the past 12 years, I have been travelling around the world working in some of the healthiest kitchens from Australia to South America. I began my career in my home country of France, but truly found my inspiration when I moved to India.
As a chef I have always been passionate about exploring, learning and trying new things. So, when I first came across the Art of Ayurveda in Norway, I realized that I wanted to further immerse myself in the Ayurvedic lifestyle as a way of life. In 2016, I enrolled at the International Academy of Ayurveda in Pune in India to enhance my general outlook on food and diet in relations to the body.
After spending time in various clinics and hospitals, I was exposed to the different ways in which Ayurvedic practices can heal and cure one’s body, mind, and soul. From nutrition and diet to ancient massage practices such as Abhyanga, Marma therapy, feet reflexology to even Agastya. I learned that Ayurvedic medicine is not just about what one can or cannot eat due to their individual constitution, rather, there are many other variables that can help promote greater health and overall wellbeing.
Where am I now?
You can currently find me in the Valdres Mountains in Norway, at Nøsen Yoga og Fjellhotell as a chef and massage therapist. Here I host all my “Joy of Ayurveda” Ayurvedic cooking and massage workshops throughout the year. When I am not at Nøsen you will usually find me travelling or giving personal and/or private courses in both cooking and massage.
